Today in Special Ed Law … the BSEA (Bureau of Special Education Appeals in Massachusetts) has just released some statistics for the past year for case decisions:
Of the 19 decisions by BSEA Hearing Officers, parents prevailed in 4. Of those 4 cases, all parents were represented by counsel.
Of the cases found in favor of the schools, 6 of the parents were pro se (represented themselves) and 3 were represented by counsel.
